1985 Ferrari Testarossa
This vehicle was purchased new in Europe in 1985 for personal use by Mr Frank Mayne - of the Mayne Nickless Transport Group. Deciding to ship it to Australia for his continual use, and with under 2000 km on the odometer, it was returned to the Maranello Factory for a total no-expense spared conversion to RHD. [As expected, this conversion was faultless in every respect complying with Australian Standards for RHD requirements.] On arrival here, it remained in Mayne's vehicle collection, securely garaged, serviced and used infrequently for almost two decades. With the cessation of the transport business and a severe down-sizing of the overall company, the car was eventually sold through an intermediary with the current owner acquiring it in 2006, displaying an odometer reading approaching 21,000 km. It was then placed on permanent display within his extensive and private vehicle collection, and during the past 18 years had only traveled 2,800 km averaging 150 km per year. [Throughout its 40 years and with a current total 23,800 km reading, this car averaged approximately 600 km per year.] Under both fastidious owners, this immaculate vehicle continued with professional and regular servicing by a European born, fully qualified and experienced mechanic for the past 18 years, maintaining its superb mechanical condition. Dry storage conditions and regular attention to the body and interior, has ensured & retained its Concours appearance and presentation.
